This morning, the Wine and Food Festival was opened in Revelin, Dubrovnik. The festival will last for two days, and it will present the gastronomic offer of the city and the whole county. Many county vintners, hoteliers and restaurateurs will participate in this meeting, and they will present their skills in preparation and serving of food and drinks, as well as the art of preparing cocktails. Also, educational workshops will be held, for employees in the hospitality industry and tourism.
Main goal of this event is to raise the quality of products and services, and assist the hospitality industry in the preparations for the season. During the festival, many restaurants will be presented, in the manner of setting a table for four with meals and drinks. Three of the most representative tables will be rewarded. Also, awards will be given to the best cold and sweet exhibits. The events will be accompanied by a series of lectures on the history of the hospitality industry, and the anthropological approach to the modern gastronomy, especially clams and shellfish dishes.
Wine and Food Festival – Revelin 2011, was organized by the department for entrepreneurship and tourism of the city of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik-Neretva county Tourist Board and the Economic Chamber of the Dubrovnik-Neretva county.
